Using Ho'oponopono to heal yourself and build a better business

In my training to be a Mindset Coach I came across the fabulous practice of Ho'oponopono - literally the practice of setting things right to put things in order.

Or in other terms a way to let go of emotional baggage that you are carrying around so that you can be free.

Now, doesn't that sound nice!

I've not come across one person yet in life who doesn't have regrets, who hasn't been hurt in the past.

But there are people who can let it go and people who hold onto it.

Holding onto past regrets, situations that hurt or negative feeling towards people from your past is not a good idea.

Really, honestly and truthfully. I know, I've had to let a lot of stuff go over the years, And I'm lighter, happier and free because of it.

So what is Ho'oponopono and how can it help you?

It's a Hawaiian prayer - and if there's any overriding image of Hawaii it's people smiling, so they've got to have done something right.

And the prayer is simply this...I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you.

So you could take a moment to sit with any negative feelings you have about the past, people, circumstances and situations.

And go through the prayer.

Say I'm sorry. And here's the deal, It's about accepting your responsibility for the things that have happened in your life. And saying sorry. To yourself, the universe, whoever you need to say sorry to.

Next is asking for forgiveness. Who knows who we are asking for forgiveness from? It could be the universe, God, your cat. Just feel the sense that there is forgiveness.

Then say thank you. Have gratitude for what you have, where you are in this moment. Thank you to whoever you were aiming your forgiveness at.

Then say I love you. To the sky, the air you breathe, all the challenges you face, the universe God. Just a big wonderful I love you.

It feels good to get it out.

Don't go carrying those bricks of remorse, guilt, fear, hurt, regrets, sadness with you. Let them go.
