The things I do every day, week and month to grow my business!

I wanted to share with you the things I do every day, week and month to grow my business!

So here we go...

Every week on a Thursday without fail I write an email to you (unless it's Christmas or something terrible has happened!). Email marketing is one of the best ways to grow your business, and if you're not regularly communicating with your audience I would make that your priority in 2021!

That email also becomes a blog post, and get shared across my social platforms.

So I know that without fail there is a consistency to my marketing - every single week I produce a unique piece of content.

From then on everything is just added in as I feel like it.

Every Friday I go live with Bertie on my Facebook page and his LinkedIn page at 10am for 10 minutes where we talk about various things related to business growth - this is then also shared to my Instagram IGTV account and to my LinkedIn - we're also going to edit it and publish as a podcast.

I got my VA to go through all my 7 years worth of blog posts and create little snippets from that content to share across social media.

I use buffer to share these snippets to twitter - so 2 tweets driving traffic back to my site go out each day - and if I feel inspired I will tweet in-between.

And that content is also scheduled and shared to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn each Monday morning.

So at the moment I have a piece of re-purposed content going out every Monday, a new piece of content each Thursday and a live with Bertie every Friday.

And if I feel like posting more in between and if I don't, I don't.

Business is built on doing things consistently on showing up consistently and on having structure and a plan.

It doesn't have to every day, but you do need to be visible on a regular basis!

Aside from marketing, the other things I do in my business are:

Host a monthly Blue Stockings networking meeting online

Post weekly in the Blue Stockings Facebook group

Write one guest blog post a month

At the end of each month add up my incoming money, outgoing and work out my profit and write it on a whiteboard I can see every day. It’s essential to know the importance of month end close to keep your business finances in order.

And of course check my notifications and email every day!

There are other things I do in my business, like creating new content, speaking at conferences and events, running the My Way social enterprise, running workshops for the Big House and Nottingham University - but they tend to be a bit more sporadic.

I hope that's given you so insight into my business, the behind the scenes and given you some food for thought for you own business!
