Personal journey

If you’re not taking a risk – perhaps you’re not doing it properly?

If you’re not taking a risk – perhaps you’re not doing it properly?

This morning I want to talk about taking risks and why it’s important to the success of your business.

The very fact that you’re reading this already means, that you’ve already taken one of the biggest risks in your life. You started a business.

What are the non-negotiables in your business?

What are the non-negotiables in your business?

My client asked me this week, and it developed into an interesting discussion, so I thought I’d share it with you.

She wanted to know what were my daily, weekly and monthly activities that grew my business and what my non-negotiables were.

What are you going to do with the next decade of your life?

What are you going to do with the next decade of your life?

Sometimes we put the breaks on what we could achieve. We poo, poo our ideas. We feel like they belong to someone else. We feel bad about charging for our services. We feel ungrateful for wanting more. The idea of being rich feels dirty.

What would you do if you could do anything? What would you do if no-one was watching? What would you do if anything was possible?

What motivates you? Money? Fame? Helping others?

What motivates you? Money? Fame? Helping others?

I wanted to come on here today to talk about your motivations for running your business, for getting up in the morning, for keeping on going. Because running a business can be tricky. It can be hard at times, and the more we understand what motivates us and keeps us going, what aspires us to be successful to grow our businesses, the more we can tap into that kind of secret magic and keep going.

You are exactly where you need to be!

You are exactly where you need to be!

Happy New Year! At the beginning of this New Year, I thought it would be a good idea to revisit this video I made from last year.

I wanted to think about how we can manage the pressure that we need to be further along in our business, that we’re not far enough ahead, that we should be doing more things - just because we’ve had a bit of a break over the festive season. (And I hope you did have a bit of break too?)

Let's talk about fear

Let's talk about fear

Let’s talk about fear..

I wanted to say thank you. I had so many responses to my post about my experience with cancer and I had so many private messages, so many emails. Now, one in two of us is going to have cancer, which means it's either you or somebody that you love, and I'm acutely aware of how beautiful and short life could be, and how we really need to grab it with both hands.

Grab the bull by the horns. Life is short. All those kinds of cliches. They're actually real.
